Animations are created by modelling the plume every hour during a period of time, using historical weather data from a weather station local to the power station. The plume is modelled in the same way as the live plume plot. Here is a description of how it works.
Unlike the live plume plot, animations are based on historical weather data from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
